ABC Tax Service was started by Barbara Cooper many years ago. She started the business by doing tax returns out of her home.

Bill Christianson bought Cooper Tax Service in 1986 and changed the name to ABC Tax Service. Bill grew ABC Tax Service's client base and also started a sideline to the company that assisted people with their tax problems and filing old tax returns.

Sherry Daugherty started working for Bill in August of 1982 as a part time receptionist and quickly grew to being Bill's full-time office assistant. Sherry eventually took over running the tax office during the tax season and bought the business from Bill in 1999 when he decided to retire.
